Writing A–Z is a dynamic website offering a
comprehensive collection of downloadable
lessons and materials in five main writing
genres:
expository,
narrative,
persuasive,
procedural,
and transactional.
These
resources are organized into writing units
and individual materials to supplement your
current curriculum. Writing A–Z is among the

Leadership
Robert Holl, co-founder and Vice-President
of Publishing, has many years of experience
in educational publishing. He began his
professional career as a classroom teacher.
He has served as Editor-in-Chief for
Addison-Wesley and Scott Foresman publishing
companies, and was Vice-President of Product
Development for The Wright Group.
Contributors

The Reading A–Z website currently offers
more than 2,200 professionally developed
downloadable books (including English,
Spanish, and French versions) and thousands
of quality teaching and learning materials.
New books and materials are added regularly.
Launched in January 2002, Reading A–Z now
has more than 108,000 members worldwide and
has won a number of educational awards for
its innovation in reading instruction. Among
the awards are a 2004 Parents' Choice
Recommended Award, a 2006 Teachers' Choice
Award, and a Global Learning Initiative
Award.
In addition to the K–6 market, Reading
A–Z materials have found widespread use at a
range of grade levels in special education

Vocabulary A–Z is an online vocabulary list
builder that allows you to customize
vocabulary word lists and vocabulary
exercises by dozens of topics and
categories, including English vocabulary,
math vocabulary, science vocabulary, and
social studies vocabulary, as well as word
functions, such as adjectives, verbs, and
antonyms. Vocabulary A–Z solidly supports
the vocabulary pillar of No Child Left
Behind and recommendations by the National
Reading Panel.

Raz-Kids Talking Books is ideal for emerging
and challenged readers. The website offers
interactive, animated, audio books and
quizzes for students as well as an online
management tool for teachers to build a
roster, assign books, and monitor student
reading activities.

Reading-Tutors is a easy-to-use collection
of research-based resource packets. Each of
the 400 packets contains everything tutors
need to help developing readers gain key
literacy skills in the following areas:
alphabet, phonological awareness, phonics,
high-frequency words, fluency, and
comprehension.
